Oahu born and raised Eric Alcantara started photography at Honolulu punk rock shows, capturing the energy and essence of local bands with his point and shoot film camera. While in college as an English undergraduate at University of Hawai'i at Manoa, Eric worked as a staff photographer and photo editor for student run Ka Leo Hawai'i and freelanced at various publications including Honolulu Weekly, Honolulu Advertiser and Associated Press.

No longer in print media, Eric continues to work in the industry mainly as a sports photographer, sometimes a second shooter at weddings but is mainly looking to expand his model portfolio.
