I am an artist working as a realist in style, primarily in the mediums of oil and graphite. I have found special inspiration and influence in the works of the late 1800's master William Bouguereau, Peter Paul Rubens of the Baroque, and the great Renaissance artists Raphael and Michelangelo. Of course there are many others. My work is centered primarily on female portraits, female clothed figures, and the occasional female nude. I do not really have a message, rather I try to tell a simple story or present some of the beauty in the world that is so easily overlooked in our busy lives and society. My working method is, typically, to build the image around an idea and model, attempt to create or find the appropriate setting, and then photograph the model in that setting, if possible, or place her there using Photoshop. The painting or drawing is created from the final selection from the photo shoot. As such I am always looking for models who are willing to work with me in attempting to reach my artistic goals.
