Courtney has been a part of the hair industry since 2006. A native to Vancouver, she gained valuable early experience at one of Vancouver’s trendy, fast-paced salons. With a love for the industry and a constant need to continue developing, Courtney co-founded Sin 7 Salon in June 2010. Courtney has extensive advanced hair colour training, and is a certified Aveda hair colour educator for the West Coast. She is also a certified Make-up Artist, although hair has been her driving force and passion. She has enjoyed styling hair for several local fashion shows, Vancouver Fashion Week, numerous weddings and creative photo shoots. As a salon owner, Courtney is committed to continued education for herself and salon team, hosting advanced in-salon cutting and colour classes each year with some of Aveda’s top educators, personal development and business classes taking place across Canada and trips to Vancouver for trends at the Aveda Institute. Courtney has attended industry shows across North America including Master Jam in Vancouver, Catwalk for Water in Toronto, Congress in Minneapolis and Serious Business in New Orleans. Courtney has recently re-located to Calgary to be closer to her other half. Although Courtney is no longer working behind her chair, she still plans to keep her creativity alive, working as an in-salon educator and independently on collaborative projects and shoots.
