I am Stewart Savage, website designer, photographer, and videographer. I have been a photographer for most of my life. I started as a photographer's assistant to my father. This gave me an opportunity to learn the technical aspects of photography and start with a solid foundation; understanding cameras and setting, film types, developing and printing processes.

I photographed casually in my youth doing small projects here and there, photographed for my high school yearbook, and even worked as a second shooter at a couple weddings.

A career change caused me to abandon photography for a time. During my "off years" digital photography came on the scene and started to mature. As a website designer, I realized that clients needed imagery for their websites that reflected their business and their values. I was tired of seeing the same cliche'd stock photography. So I dusted off some old equipment, bought some new equipment and included custom photography as part of website design services.

My goals are to build a photography portfolio that shows clients my diverse skill set. Offering photography services as a part of website design services means that I have to be able to shoot a variety of subjects, scenarios, moods, lighting, etc.

My areas of focus are studio photography (portraits, glamour, fashion, product, food), environmental portraits, and general business photography. I particulary enjoy glamour photography from the 1940's and 1950's. I also enjoy candid/street photography.

I am looking forward to working models, makeup and hair stylists, and possible collaborating with other photographers on projects to help build a robust portfolio.
