I started out in 1999 taking some vocational classes as just a hobbyist. I was mentored by a pro in my hometown for two years and learned I really loved nature photography. I later added people to the mix and found my love of outdoor portraiture.
In 2005 I started my own studio doing various portraiture. Starting in a small midwestern town it was mostly families, high school seniors and the like, but I did a lot of work with modes for fun building up their portfolios in exchange for use of them as a model. It was a win-win.
I still work with models, taking their photos for free to build their portfolios just for the fun of it. If you are looking to build your portfolio and will be in my area, let me know, maybe I can help.
