I am a portrait and fine art photographer, photographing people, places, scenes, and women, On occasion, I am in need of a model. I publish some my photographic art on line for sale.
As a photographic artist, there is more to creating a piece of art than just snapping a picture. As any artist does, I use composition, color, lighting and subject matter. And now with digital tools, I am able to create compositions that were not previously possible. It is an exciting and challenging time.
Growing up in the small town of Lititz, Pennsylvania, I had paper routes. (yes we delivered newspapers to homes "back in the day" using my bicycle). With my meager earnings I bought my first Brownie camera at age 15. That started a life long passion with photography. While training to be a USAF jet pilot, I went out at night to film the oil refineries against the star- studded Texas sky. My first serious camera was purchased at the base exchange. I thought it was really cool because it had shutter speeds and aperture settings .No auto settings back then. And film of course. My interest in photography continued throughout my post Air Force business career, and finally, I quit the corporate world to become a full time photographer with a portrait studio in my home in Naperville, IIlinois.
