Background
I have been a professional portrait photographer working full-time in a portraiture studio.
After a change of career, photography as an “amateur” affords me the freedom of artistic expression that I feel I could never achieve as a paid professional.
I studied cinema at University, and as such, my photographs tend to be cinematic.
I use MM to work with like-minded artists.

35mm
I shoot on a variety of 35mm film, colour and black and white. I’ll typically use 1 roll of 36 exposure film for a photoshoot (possibly 2 rolls if there’s enough variety of lighting and background available).

Portrait
I specialise in portraiture.

Turnaround
2 to 10 days. This depends entirely on how long the lab takes to process and scan the negatives.
Please appreciate that it is entirely possible to shoot an entire roll of film and end up with only a handful of “good” photographs. This has nothing to do with the technical difficulty of shooting film, and everything to do with being critical.

Photoshop
I do not photoshoot. Personally, I find that photoshopping film photographs results in a loss of the magical quality of the emulsion.

TFP
I only shoot TFP.

Availability
I am a full-time emergency worker and thus my availability is sporadic. If you make contact with me, I will endeavour to organise a photoshoot within a fortnight. I am not operating out of a studio and our locations will generally be outdoors.
