I like to paint with oil paint. I paint on wood with brushes and sometimes palette knives. I am just less than OK but I work slow. I also sketch, but I want to grow as a painter, so I’m focusing on that. I’m on this site to find models to sit for paintings. My work isn’t necessarily representational and I like it when things are a bit off.

I paint portraits and figures, sometimes nude. I like interesting faces and bodies that look authentic. I don’t like cosmetic surgery unless it was necessary. Makeup is optional.

Collaboration with the model is vital because then she’ll invest in the project, which will be better for everyone. I think art is a three-way conversation between the artist, the subject, and the viewer/listener/reader. So it is vital that the subject has a say in the process. That may sound a little pretentious, but it’s important to me that anyone I work with understands my philosophical approach to the project.
