Hi Model Mayhem,

I am a freelance photographer who has been shooting since 2012, mostly dabbling in animal/pet photography, portraits, and the occasional event/wedding when it comes across my desk. I have often shot my photos using standard, out-of-the-box, Canon camera gear (my heart will always have a soft spot for the PowerShot); however, I have recently had the opportunity to try some mirror lenses that greatly impressed me so I might be leaning towards picking up some of those in the future.

Currently, I am looking to become a bit more serious about my photography (transitioning it from a hobby to more of a side-gig) so I am joining your site in order to improve my own work, sharpen my eye, and network with both local and international colleagues. I have heard great things about the professional and welcoming reputation of the Model Mayhem community and I look forward to collaborating with some of you in the near future.
