Lily is a professional photographer and visual artist who has lived just about everywhere in the world from Thailand to Guatemala and for some years a 1973 VW BUS on the open road. They have painted aerosol murals across the world, wrestled alligators for a living, and traveled to opposite corners of the planet photo-documenting State Insane Asylum architecture and its changing role in American culture. For the better of part 18 years the energy of these now decaying structures and a curiosity about the mysterious lives of their former inhabitants is what drives them to return time after time. Tomorrow could be a totally different adventure, but that's the point, isn't it?
