Passionate Pus Size Fashion Designer would like to support tall women to feel elegant &sexy in any size.

I am German and came to the UK in 2007 on my own . It was the best decision of my life as I had arrived. Do you know this feeling? I loved the UK and London instantly and for the first time I felt at home. A fabulous feeling. Even so I am in a different country I am still close to my family and friends in Germany and my sister is my best friend.

As a tall plus size UK 16/18 women I had challenges finding on tend figure-hugging clothes. The sleeves not long enough, shoulders and sleeves not big enough to fit me. As a result I bought my first sewing machine (before I was sewing by hand , e.g curtains etc) in 2020, took four sewing courses , watched endless youtube videos and started cloning my clothes . In March 2021, I was designing my own little collection which was a mix of upcycled , upsized and new designs. People started asking me where they could buy my clothes and as a result I now will be launching my own brand with my name “Sylvia Piechulla” which will be available exclusively for tall plus size women ( UK 16-24) to help them feel sexy and to turn some heads in any size. I am in the product development phase and will need some fitting models soon. It is all very exciting to take a leap to go into self-employment. I have met so many amazing people already on my journey and I am so grateful.

To find out what the model world is like a had a photo shoot and now have just asked to join two companies to be on their books as a plus size model. A whole new world to explore. Very exciting.



And I still have a day job. For 25 years I have worked in Sales in several positions very successfully. I had fabulous opportunities launching new products, building up new divisions, supporting a team and I met many incredible people. However, its time to follow my dreams which is designing. I sometimes can’t sleep at night because I am just creating another dress etc.



In my free time I love to do yoga, spinning, walking, hiking and relax and visiting art exhibitions. I also love good food with a glass of win.Sketch is my favourite tea room, bar & restaurant in London.
