Supervert has been publishing books for 20+ years. Literary and well regarded, the books fall into the "transgressive" genre that includes the likes of Sade, Bataille, and Burroughs. Supervert also recently collaborated with the photographer and Cinema of Transgression cofounder Richard Kern on a book called Who's Your Death Hero?.

Primarily a writer, Supervert is no stranger to the visual arts. Supervert used to write art criticism for Artforum, Parkett, and other magazines. Supervert was also the cofounder of a digital art collective that put out groundbreaking work reviewed in Wired, the Village Voice, Frieze, Time Out, and a variety of other publications.

Supervert is currently working on a photography project juxtaposing models with texts. Ultimately the intent is to post the pictures to Instagram (thus remaining within Insta's TOS) and do a book of the best of them.
