I believe expression through our body, or the capturing of a scene, is its own poetry in motion, and a photograph locks us in time. Bottles us in a timeless capsule. As artists we seek to invoke a response from the audience of our work, and a photograph captures that true moment of ourselves. We as the subjects work in harmony with a photographer to imbibe a still image with life. A pendulum of fragility and empowerment. My interests are the gothic beauty, memento mori, the attitude and ethos of punk rock, and the fantastical nature of folklore and witchcraft. I would like to take part in telling stories, thought-provoking work and atmospheric compositions that are the conduit of intrigue, mystery and imagination. In my other exploits I am a songwriter, a frontman with a 'curio punk' band that has taken me all over Europe, a storyteller, and I make music videos for bands in the UK. This adventure will be extremely helpful to me and my own growth. I would like to force myself as an artist and performer to wade into the black velvet of the unfamiliar. I am eager to experiment, for within it all is a pursuit to find ourselves. I wish to be valued and understood because in this transaction I am prepared to reduce myself to my most vulnerable, and go wherever is expected of me to realise the creative vision or overall purpose of the project to the best of my ability, and there is a genuine trust that when I take a leap and work with other artists, I will feel comfort, support and care in the moment. Just as I would for anyone I collaborate with. As a member of the community I will be there for anyone that needs my help with anything, and anyone can feel free to speak to me. I am open and always happy to chat, and I'm excited to now be a part of this large family of artists and collaborators. I sincerely hope I'll be prosperous in finding new and exciting creative opportunities through this platform.
