About Me

Hello everybody,

my name is Michael, I was born in 1977, I'm originally from Cologne and I'm living in Cadolzburg (district Fürth/ Bavaria) since 2022.

I'm about to take a completely new creative path in my photography, away from the rather 0815 shots of pretty girls to photographic motifs and stories that on the one hand remind me of the works of Eastern European masters (CONCEPTUAL), on the other hand pick up the style of the 20s-50s and reinterpret (see HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR PORTRAIT and FILM NOIR). For this creative reset I am looking for models (m/f/d) on a TfP basis.

While I am very well connected with photographers, models, photo locations and photo service providers in my old home Cologne, I am still at the beginning in my new home Middle Franconia. Accordingly, I am very much looking forward to getting to know all photo enthusiasts from the region of Northern Bavaria in person.

I photograph in the meantime again almost exclusively analog on film. The negative development and prints I make in my home darkroom in the basement. I work hybrid, i.e. negatives are also digitized.

Gear-Talk: In case anyone is interested, I use all formats from 35mm to medium format (roll film), 4x5 inch sheet film to 8x10 inch papers and plates. Currently I am also working with collodion wet plate photography. I shoot a lot of black and white film, especially classic orthochromatic emulsions, but also color film (Kodak Portra and tungsten film).

Because of my analog process, there is naturally no digital retouching away from the scanning software.

If you are interested in a project with me or if you want to realize your own TfP concept with me, I would be happy to hear from you! Personally, I am said to be uncomplicated, cheerfully confident and absolutely professional.

Cheers!
Michael
