As an artist, I endeavor to create on paper, and digitally, the images I envision in my mind’s eye.

My process of working with models has always been collaborative.

I have ideas and concepts for images I would like to create, but in order to realize my artistic visions, I feel the photo sessions themselves are more productive when the models I'm working with understand my goals for the session and are active collaborators in helping me achieve those goals. Therefore, one of the things I am looking for in a model is not just someone who wants to pose just "for money," but someone who wants to be an active participant and provide her or his own input into the creative process.

I studied photography at New England School of Photography in Boston and for many years photography, exclusively, was my artistic medium. I did mostly female fine art nudes, both nude portraiture and traditional form and figure work, but occasionally male fine art nudes as well. As my artistic interests shifted, I became interested in traditional printmaking – etching, lithography, mezzotint, etc., – so I went back to school and received a degree in Fine Arts (Printmaking).

Formally studying “Fine Arts” in a degree program led to an expansion my creative process, including the intersection of printmaking and photography (photo-etching, photo-lithography, and cyanotypes). As an artist, I am no longer interested in the “straight photograph.” The photograph is just the starting point for photo-composites and the photo-printmaking processes. And as for models, I’m looking to work with both female and male models, as well as couples (or male and female models who are willing to pose together).

I have several project ideas that I am developing. As the ideas mature, I will put out a call for models. In the meantime, if anyone reading this is interested in working with me collaboratively on ideas they have, please contact me.
