About Me

1972, University of Rome, Italy - studied at the School of Fine Arts.
1975 - Beaux Arts, Paris - entry competition to the School of Fine Arts.
- Began Subsequently selected by competition to the very exclusive higher school ‘Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs’ in Paris: completed studies with honors.
Technical designer with the French Department of Education and Crafts charged with preparation of professional tests and master degree subjects for the following fields: Building Design/Construction and Fashion Design.
1978, Received scholarship for the Paris Institute of Fashion Design as Designer and Fashion Illustrator.

*** 1977 - 2002, was the official Fashion Design photographer for the Government Agency – A.P.C.M.

Joel Hanh pieces can be found in many fines, personal, corporate collections and one is part of a permanent piece in a National Museum in South East Asia.

Since 1982, Joel has enjoyed previous tenures at HTI, Environetics, and Gensler – the top three Design & Architecture firms in the USA and the World. 
He currently serves as Architect /Real Estate specialist for the U.S. Government.

the World Bank, IBM, CBS headquarters, Verizon, AT&T, Citibank, Neiman Marcus, Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Cartier.

Joel was introduced to, and captivated by, many of the world’s greatest historic places. Angkor Vat, Rome, Florence, Amsterdam, Munich, Paris and Washington DC were all at his doorstep.

Over the last two decades, Joel has refined his artistic style.
It has been described as a dedicated artist to several non-profit organizations: Food & Friends, Whitman & Walker Clinics, Asian American Lead, Children Defense Fund, Maison Chance and DC Diabetic Fund.

He has received numerous honors and awards for his works in Fine arts, Space and Facility design.

Current Project:
I am preparing a collection of 36 photo portraits as subject for my oil and acrylic on canvas. A very small limited edition of giclées of his Fine arts work collection is  available to collectors.
The limited editions will be sold only to serve as a fundraising tool for the Food and Friend, Red Cross and Heart Delight Organization general funds. Collectors Edition is proud to donate a main portion of the proceeds from this limited edition to the good cause.
