I have an extensive arts background, having been educated in traditional fine art techniques (watercolor, oil, sculpture) as well as photography.

Since 2000, I have transitioned into the digital arts to include both digital design and digital photography.

Showing "character" is more important to me than creating just another "pretty picture". I have always felt that the photo should be about the person, the theme or the mood that I am trying to convey and I strive to get an emotional connection with the viewer. 

I am an independent photographer and artist, who actively seeks to place my work in art galleries, as well as small or self publishing opportunities.

I tend to seek a balance between artistic expression and commercialism. I have often found that if you do what you love and believe in, the work will reflect the intention.

I like working with a variety of models. I have an open definition of what is considered attractive, interesting, and sexy.  If you look at my work, you will see that I tend to work with"every day people" as my models

While my models obviously pose for photos, I like to keep things natural. I prefer natural light and everyday settings. I don't like to "over-pose" or "over-edit" my photos either. I do like models to bring their own energy to the photo shoot and to express themselves in their poses as well as being able to being posed.
