My name is Al Powers, I am a Las Vegas based Event photographer, Specializing in Nightlife, Sports, and Celebrity photos, however i am trying to evolve into more Portraiture and Fashion work. I have been shooting for over a decade in many different facets of photography. I started off shooting with a Hassleblad 500c and 80mm lens when i was 10. Then received my first 35mm (mintola xd7) when i was 13. Shot for the High School Newspaper, as well as the highschool yearbook. Then moved on to photographing in the Automotive industry as well as Skateboarding. Then after 5 years of shooting i stopped. I stopped because, well teh money started dwindling and i wanted more in life. Then i moved to Las Vegas, and all of that changed. I found new inspiration along with a much bigger paycheck. It has been a long road of shooting, I guess you could call me a shooter of the olden days since i know how it is to burn and dodge exposures, and spend countless hours agitating paper, and doing it over and over and over again, just for that one perfect print.
