★HMUA Barbie Mercedes began her career in 1996 graduating top of her class in Cosmetology. Having an artist eye and an adventurous spirit she decided to pursue makeup artistry. After working on various print and editorial projects with fashion photographers/magazines, opportunities to work as a lead stylist for television and commercials broadened her expertise. In 2002, she auditioned for her first film as a key hair, makeup & special effects artist & she got it! Working in independent films allowing her to work with a variety of celebrities while filming from South Beach to Fort Lauderdale sets & studios. Barbie Mercedes continues to create fabulous art with her craft as a Hair & Makeup Artist here in beautiful SWFL. From magazines to tv she is a silent storm in the forefront of the photo shoot industry.
