It's time for hip hop to have the lane left open by the Masters, Big Daddy Kane and LL Cool J filled. There's a New York based rapper who is the vehicle to shut that lane down. His name is Jaared Brown.

His charisma, Hollywood good looks and undeniable charm surely add to the allure he possesses, but they are the icing on the cake. When you listen to his metaphorical lyrics, you realize this young man is different. He sees the world the way we are all afraid to see it. He views it, and the people in it, for who and what they really are, and is not the least bit shy to say what he feels. You have to respect that.

A true baller from the start, Jaared Brown began modeling while still attending the famed Manhattan Center High School as a first team All-American New York city point guard. Starring on the basketball court as well as in the pages of magazines like XXL, The Source, Vibe, and others, he was soon targeted for headlining roles in videos such as Amerie's "Why Can't We Fall In Love", Sean Paul and Busta Rhymes' "Make It Clap", and Kia's "My Neck, My Back" among many others. Jaared Brown's chiseled good looks won him a national campaign for the ENYCE brand. He has walked the runway of Sean John fashion shows, Fashionably Loud, and Fuse TV, making the women in the audience, young and more mature, sit up and take notice.

As his predecessors LL Cool J and Big Daddy Kane before him, women love Jaared Brown. They are drawn to his fine, cool, sophisticated demeanor, and his deep, rough, sexy voice. He provides them with lyrics to dance to, whether it be horizontally or vertically, and they love him.

Despite all of his accolades, Jaared Brown does not let them affect his personality or the way that he handles his business affairs. His devotion to his family and love for his fellow man helps keep him grounded. "I'm not caught up in this industry like that. It's a business and as co-owner of Immortal Ice Inc., a record label and clothing line, I pride myself on doing good business. All in all, I respect people and in return they give it back. I'm a businessman, but I'm a good person first."

Being on the verge of getting something always intensifies the desire, and the rap game is no different. It is ripe right now for what Jaared Brown is ready to bring to the table. The pages of history will soon hold Jaared Brown's legacy as the first model to become a successful player in the hard, but so necessary world of rap. His words will stay on the minds of all those who hear them, as he always leaves you with a message, and above all, he leaves you wanting more.

Thankful to You and Grateful for You

I am thankful to you...
If you ever spoke a kind word, shook my hand or gave me a hug
I am thankful to you...
Because you kept communication's door open with infinite possibilities

I am grateful for you...
If you ever clothed me, fed me or housed me
I am grateful for you...
Because you were there for me

I am thankful to you...
If you are a friend, a family, a lover, in my life
I am thankful to you...
Because you keep me grounded and with purpose

I am grateful for you...
If you ever stimulated my mind or put my heart at ease
I am grateful for you...
Because you gave my worrisome soul a sense of peace

I am thankful to you...
If you loved me, held me, touched me
I am thankful to you...
Because you helped to set my soul free
