"To me, being a painter of the landscape is about creating original impressions of the rapturous light forms that appear, especially during early morning or evening. A spirited involvement in colour and movement invokes a certain romanticism - the painting must have energy and feeling. I like to think that paintings are a passionate expression of being in touch with the fascination of the subject.
