On 2-14-86 at 2:14pm cupid was born. Raised in a Nuyorican family La Don was introduced to all genres of music at a young age. Her family told stories of the struggle and fight for Latinos in the Bronx as well as Spanish Harlem daily. She soon realized her mom was apart of the rise of Hip Hop and apart of the Savage Nomads, a chain of one of the most revolutionary Hip Hop crews, Zulu Nation. La Don fell in love with street culture at a young age and continued to walk the rest of her life to one beat, Hip Hops beat. Growing up her creative mind was influenced by her dad’s illustrations, grandma’s couture dresses, music, Fashion and life.

At the age of 14 La Don began to realize her strengths and envision her future. She knew she had a mission to complete in this world through art, music, Hip Hop and love. At 18 she left Ft. Lauderdale Florida and began her mission in NYC by attending Katherine Gibbs for Fashion design and merchandising. Her unique garments were shown in 4 fashion shows by her third quarter. When the dean of the fashion department recognized the talent in this young soul she was placed in an early internship at Sean John. She interned at Sean John for 11 months and gained a well-rounded knowledge of the corporate fashion world. Realizing the corporate world was not the route she wanted to take, La Don began freelancing. She has freelanced designed sneakers, sandals, logos, flyers, business cards, t-shirts, stickers, book covers, packaging, womens and mens clothing.

In 2007 La Don truly grew into her skin and her vision became clear. She dropped her arrow and loaded her bow with a pistol to shoot art bullets in the world. These bullets of love will bring peace to the world through the universal language of art. La Don created a collectors edition t-shirt line, Don Won. Don Won embraces art, politics, music and life with bold graphics in limited amounts. Don Won will be the first of many garments to come from this street couturiers work.

After hosting shows for Hip Hop TV, Modeling for various clothing lines and rolling with Hip Hop most legendary artist as well as hip hop activist, La Don recognized an absence in the reputation for women artist. As a sneaker head she always wondered why women were not represented at the events. Fusing art, fashion and the Hip Hop culture La Don created Le Femme Sole to be the first platform for the most talented women in the street scene. Le Femme Sole would not only be an event but an experience for youth and adults. Not only would this event display art and have live performances but also proceedings would go to local charities. The formula was put into affect when La Don linked up with her partner Ayanna Ginns. Le Femme Sole lives and La Don continues to create more positive events to maintain the Hip Hop culture and empower young artist to follow their dreams.Today La Don Models, Designs, Coordinates as well as styles photo shoots, curates art exhibits and various other fashion gigs. La Don is cupid to the art world and fashions revolutionary.
