Early Life
Shameka was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, USA to a very loving and supportive family Jerome and Rosa.  As an Army brat, 15 month after she was born, her family moved to Ansbach, Germany until the age of five.  After her family returned to the United States, she began moving to different military bases.

Shameka was a tall and skinny adolescent that was constantly teased by her classmates.  When asked how she coped with the constant torment, she stated, “I spent many nights crying to my mother for comfort.”  Shameka started singing at the age of 13 at various church events.  It wasn’t until high school when things began to change for her.  At the age of 16, she was encouraged to participate in beauty pageants.  On a regular basis, she was told that she was a beautiful young lady who should pursue modeling.  Shameka won her first beauty pageant her junior year in high school.  She won the title of Miss McCall Senior High 1998-1999.  After her reign, she relinquished her title and ran for the title of Miss America Coed.  Shameka made it to the semi finalist round, and was named first runner-up for Miss Photogenic. In 2000, she began her freshman year at Grambling State University.  At Grambling State, she spent several years earning her degrees.  December 2004 Shameka graduated cum laude and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies, and an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice.  December 2005 Shameka graduated magna cum laude and earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, her cumulative grade point average was a 3.72.  While at Grambling, Shameka participated in various organizations and national honor societies.  She is a member of the following clubs and held offices in many of them, National Golden Key Honor Society, Earl Lester Cole Honors College, Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society, All- American Scholar, Nominee for Who’s Who Among American Collegiate Students, Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society, National Dean’s List, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity For Women.  After pursuing her education, Shameka was crowned Miss Glamour Model 2005, and also won the title Miss Photogenic and most talented.  Shameka modeling assignments included the Ronald McDonald Charity House, Shi Salon Hair show featuring Keith Campbell a famous hair stylist, St. Louis local designers, a spokes model for Gateway International Raceway, and in Barbizon Modeling Agency.
