About Me

After earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1993, I had no plans of earning money from nor displaying my artwork; I knew I wanted to do art, but thought I'd just have a day job, and do the art for myself. However, in 1995 I hooked up with the Puppy Toss Comix Collective in Berkeley, CA. Through the relationships there I was encouraged to publish my work, and put out at least one 24 page comic per year. In 2000 I moved to Los Angeles and learned the processes of collaborative film making, while continuing to self-publish. After working on a number of films and commercials I learned the process, and shot my first short film in 2005.

I am an artist that works in various media.

My 2003 viral video "Dance, Voldo, Dance" had over half a million hits a year before YouTube existed, garnering the attention of G4, MTV, and Microsoft. It is considered a seminal work in the machinima community, and is used as an example in university classrooms and scholarly texts.

My 2005 short film "Closing Time" played in over 24 festivals, including top ten ranked festivals such as AFI, Seattle, and Florida. It won two "Best Short Film" awards.
