Artist Chris Leon

Born in Tucson in 1975, Chris Leon began his career in 2010 as a commissioned artist. He has since branched out to find his own style of painting ranging from urban to realism. He drew a considerable amount of influence from the 8 years he spent in Seattle. It was there that he became immersed in the city's raw underground art scene and gained much of the inspiration for his earlier works. However, it wasn't until he moved back to Tucson that he would feel a need for reinvention and an artistic outlet.

Chris Leon has had no formal training and is primarily self-taught. He has shown his work in 4th Avenue venues as well as Bohemia: an artisans emporium. Chris has also attracted recent attention with the opening of his gallery "Artz Gallery & Gifts". It is through his store that he has been able to give back to the Tucson community by providing children's workshops and participating in fundraisers and the community food bank.
