About Me

My main interest is photographing people with an emphasis on Fine Art Nude.  However, I am equally comfortable shooting Glamour, Lingerie, Boudoir, Nudes, Fashion, Casual, Figure and Headshots, and everything in between.  No matter the style I work to create images that have the energy to engage the viewer; visually and mentally.

I work with beginner and experienced models, brave souls who want to try something different, and subjects who would just like to be creative and have fun.  If you are a model or makeup artist looking to collaborate to create unique images, have an idea you would like to try, or would just like to experiment please feel free to sent me a message or bookmark my page.

While this portfolio contains many nudes, I do shoot models with their clothes on.

With all that said, here is a bit more about me and my philosophy of photography.

There are many stunning ladies that aspire to be models.  Everyone needs to start somewhere, but those pictures in a mirror, with a camera phone, or those by a friend have to go as soon as possible.  You cannot get the exposure needed to further any modeling hopes you might have using these.  I have seen several portfolios with this type of picture, but without professional photos these models fall by the wayside, get discouraged because they don't get the proper responses and don't last long.  You needn't have a fat pocketbook to have professional photos in your portfolio.  I don’t charge models for a session, but shoot TFCD instead.  TFCD is a FREE exchange between both the photographer and model for portfolio building.  When I do TFCD I share the literary license with my model.  In other words, no images captured during our sessions can be published without permission.  Consequently, I do not normally pay a model for a session.  If a client has paid for a specific shoot, then I pay the model her fees. If my idea's are picked up for publication, I split the profits with those involved.

I am a professional photographer, not an image manipulator.  Any photos of mine are edited by the models themselves or a third party and not by me.  I only crop, adjust color, brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation.  Just the basics.

I would like to have all photo shoots fun and enjoyable, yet businesslike.  After all, this is our business.  You as a model, and me as a photographer.

Most of my projects are “ideas in waiting”. Some are simply art, some are waiting to be picked up locally, nationally or internationally. I am a published photographer.

I get several good photo’s in every 100 shots and 1 or 2 stunningly great shots in a thousand.  I don’t know how many pictures I’ll have to take before the “perfect shot” though.  I haven’t gotten there yet, but maybe it’s the next one.

I only accept friend requests from models I have worked with in the past, who have scheduled a shoot or I hope to work in future.

I have been involved with photography since 1976. I am with several online modeling sites, but one in particular focuses on fine art. There are very few if any limits with fine art as opposed to editorial or other genres.

I do shoot images in my studio, but prefer to capture my models in the beauty of nature.  If your looking for fake backdrops, heavy editing or fancy lighting, you need to look elsewhere.  As I stated, I’m a natural photographer,  after all Photoshop can make a bad picture great.  To me the model and surroundings are what make the picture great.

The following is a quote from fellow photographer Crazy D in Auckland, New Zealand MM #606407.

"In beauty I don't see "imperfection." I love goosebumps, vaccination scars, stretch marks and stubble - THEY are a valid part of perfection, too.  What really gets my rag is comments like "great skin tones!" when it's just digital airbrushing. You may as well get excited over a plastic bag. To retouch human skin in a photograph is to lay concrete over a meadow and declare it looks better"

And another quote from fellow photographer Enigma Photography Mayhem #705

"a real photographer does not rely on photoshop to create a photograph"

I would be the perfect choice for models on a tight budget/just starting in the field.  Especially if you want to show your natural beauty, the real you.  Anyway, most of that "fancy equipment" isn't needed for outdoor projects.  It won't cost you anything, but your time, to try me first.  Plus, you'll receive a picture CD of our shoot that will have some images you can use in your portfolio.

A portfolio  update is suggested at least monthly! In fact, each time you update, you should be higher in the search results offering you more exposure.

I do suggest an escort for the shoot.  No husbands or boy friends please (we can be a pain), just a friend works best I have found.

I don’t have a particular body type or age in mind, but I don't work with models under 18.  All models MUST sign my release.  I will gladly provide a copy to you before the shoot if desired.

If you have a specific location in mind, would feel more comfortable in familiar surroundings or your home in the area, I “have camera, will travel”.  I also use a laptop and can burn a picture CD for you right there.

As you can see by looking at my portfolio, I do shoot female nudes but only after the model has made the decision herself.  I promote my models both locally and on the internet, so I might have work for you at any time.

I hope this answers any questions you might have, soothes your apprehensions should you decide to work with me.

I do have a long list of references available.
