About Me

For the past six years Amanda has been a freelance photographer specializing in Model Portfolio Development, Family Portraits, and Head Shots. She spent three years studying Art, with a concentration in Photography, at State University of New York College at Oneonta, and is currently finishing a degree in Business Marketing in NYC. With a studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, as well as in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, she is able to service clients ranging all over the
5 boroughs.

"...a unique individual with a professional work ethic..."

Amanda is very passionate about the creative process of her work, and feels privileged to be able to work with so many amazing people through her business. She has been described as a "unique individual with a professional work ethic, and a mature demeanor." As a photographer, and videographer, Amanda strives on providing her clients with quality work, at great rates, in speedy amounts of time. Amanda also assists other artists with cataloging their products, designing websites, designing logos, and image retouching.

At the age of 7-years-old Amanda got hold of a disposable camera. What first started out as simply taking photographs of her older sister, Claudia, whom was an aspiring model at the time, turned into a new found love. After 10 years of working with disposables, film, and digital cameras, Amanda was given her first DSLR camera. One year later, she took on her first paid assignment, and has been developing her craft ever since.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Amanda spends most of her free time painting, drawing, singing, writing, baking, and reading. A lot of her creative side works can be seen online through social media networks, on Facebook, Instagram, and her personal Blog on wordpress.

"It's a beautiful thing."

When asked what Amanda enjoys most about her work she said, "Honestly, it's how well I get to know my clients. Not just on a work level, where it's on a project to project basis, but on a different level. When you photograph people for a living, they let you see something very intimate about them that not everyone gets to see. Think about how bare you might feel in front of the camera when it's not a group photo. That feeling of being exposed, for someone you don't even know to capture is, I guess, it gives some people a bit of an anxiety. The fact that I get to be there, sometimes coach them through it, and share that moment when they realize they're sure of themselves, and 'they got this!' is just a unique blessing. Yes it's creative work. Yes it's hard work. And yes I get to meet lots of cool people and really funny kids, but the high light is watching someone go from unsure to positive. We're all a little insecure sometimes, and I get to witness a lot of people transform into secure versions of themselves. It's a beautiful thing."
