Who I am, What I do, and Why I do it

Who - I am a Philadelphia based fashion photographer.  What - I shoot fashion, lifestyle, still life, commercial, and artistic imagery. I've also recently begun a trying my hand at film making

Why - (this is going to be long... grab a cup of tea ) I grew up in an artistic household, but not only was it artistic it was involved in the fashion industry.  Growing up in this environment I began to see things from a unique perspective and learned the business of fashion imagery as part of "the family business".  I came to know people in fashion and art as family and friends.  I also spent time moving from place to place throughout my childhood.  I learned about these places and came to call them all home over time, because I learned that it isn't the location that makes a place great but the people in it.  While in college I studied different photographers of all ilk just like everyone else in college does, but I found repetition in the histories of the photographers who's work inspired me the most.  They were all valuable members of the photographic community and valuable members of their own geographic communities.  To that end I endeavor to constantly improve the art and profession of photography by being an active member of the photographic community both as an artist and a professional AND I endeavor to improve my own geographic community by working with community programs and charity organizations on a regular basis.  Photography is not a stagnant art, and as a living art form we must constantly strive to not only improve our output, but also be advocates for our profession and art form by establishing and discussing; norms of etiquette, laws affecting us, and business practices we undertake.

If you are interested in working with me for your own portfolio, your best bet is to fit in to one of these projects.  Not only am I typically willing to work with someone for free to get these personal projects done, but I am actively seeking models, makeup and hair stylists, wardrobe stylists, and assistants to help with these.

If you're not interested in any of these projects, and you would like to have a photo shoot for either experience or portfolio work, I have very inexpensive testing rates as follows:

$500: Half day test.  Approximately 3 looks.  Includes - up to 5 web sized retouched photos per look and portfolio prints at cost from my professional lab here in Philadelphia. Does not include hair and makeup.  Additional retouched photos will be charged at $20/hour of retouching.

$1700: Full day test.  Approximately 5 to 7 looks.  Includes hair, makeup, and wardrobe (feel free to bring your own as well); up to 5 web sized retouched photos per look, and portfolio prints at cost from my professional lab here in Philadelphia.

Mad scientist, Dr Paulina, and her faithful hunchback sidekick, Clurb create Man/Fish at their lab on Monster Party Island. He escapes at the same time that the popular video series “Drunk Girls Who’ve Signed Releases” arrives to film. Additionally, Dr Paulina double booked the island with the most awesome frat boy kegger of the year. Hi-jinks ensue!
