About Me

I shoot photos to create art that please me,

and to work with cool people,

but I don't really do it to make money, although it's nice when it works out that way;

if I can create a beautiful or interesting or thought provoking image - maybe even all three - that's enough.

Ferdinando Scianna said, "A photograph is not created by a photographer. What they do is just to open a little window and capture it. The world then writes itself on the film. The act of the photographer is closer to reading than it is to writing. They are the readers of the world."

Leo Tolstoy said, "To evoke in oneself a feeling...and then...to transmit that feeling that others may experience the same feeling - this is the activity of art."
