I am a digital photo artist – a photographer who processes his work digitally and who employs digital technology to further the artistic expressiveness of the original photograph. Photo art is when you take an ordinary photo and transform it into something that looks like it had been created using traditional art techniques like paint, colored pencil, graphite, chalk, charcoal, crayon, marker, watercolor, and more. I do not have involved explanations of my work. I work intuitively to produce photo art that has strong composition elements and which takes customary every day scenes, occurrences and people and transforms the whole into art that is visually and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I like strong colors and traditional visual elements. I see inherent beauty everywhere in nature, in people and in their buildings, possessions and creations and I like to photograph the resultant interplay of elements. There is often a strong emotional aspect and/or a narrative to the image and I am looking for the image to convey a personality for the viewer to react to.

I am now back working after a few years hiatus due to health.
