Hey! My name is Annastasia Fairbanks.

I am a professional photographer specializing in Editorial, Fashion, Portraiture, and Music. I am new to Vancouver and looking forward to seeing what this city has to offer. I have been studying photography on Vancouver Island for the past three years, both self taught and post secondary. I am an artist, and I eat sleep and breath photography. I always have a camera on me, be it my Canon 7D, a film camera, a disposable camera, or even just my iPhone camera, I am never without the ability to capture a moment. When I am not playing with a camera of some sort, you can expect to find my nose in a book, most likely a book to do with cameras, or photography, or the business of photography, or really anything related to photography. I am in love with textbooks. Some of you may think I am a nerd while reading this and your probably right. But I am a nerd who is also a really good photographer, who knows her stuff. I have top of the line professional gear, and I know how to use it. I have top of the line professional photo manipulation software, and I know how to use it. I am also generally pretty rad and like to have fun while making art. I like shoots to be as relaxed and fun as possible and hate anything overly dramatic or stressful. NO FLAKES PLEASE. My style ranges from "Raw and Organic" 50mm photojournalism style portraiture to the more dramatic "alternative" worlds. I have a love for anything tattooed and pierced. I love real women, that means skinny women and not so skinny women, as long as you are real and true to yourself. I do work with men from time to time, but my preference goes to women.
