About Me

There is a whole lot of rubbish on MM, however if you take the time to sift through all the nonsense you can find some truly beautiful work.

Welcome.  I had put my work on hiatus since 2003 (because of relocation) and have decided to try to get back into it.  I have decided to try MM to network with models, photographers, and other artists in my area, NOT to "hook-up".  My wife accompanies and assists me on all photo shoots.

The philosophy of my work is listed below if you care to read:

The act of creation can be driven by forces that have yet to be understood; perhaps left unrevealed even unto the artist.  In light of this, my photography retains this element of mystery.  However, in recent years, I have become more aware of this hidden meaning.  My work is a sort of memento of my thoughts and feelings on various aspects of the human condition.

The life that we lead, whether lived through our thoughts or actions, affects who we are as well as others around us.  Along with this power (if you will) comes the often overlooked responsibility for oneself.  My photography serves as a visual reminder to be aware of the consequences of my own actions in my dealings with other people.

A great deal of my work reflects the pain and the lasting burden that is the result of the rape of a loved one.  It is an attempt to deal with my own feelings on the matter and the lasting effects of this event.  The images are my way of dealing with such intense emotions and the shadows it has cast upon my heart…a way of letting go.

This portfolio represents a small portion of my photographic work over the past few years (1997-present).  All blurring and distortion is intentional.  No computers were used (aside for scanning for MM).

Currently I shoot only 35mm and medium format b&w analog film.  I print my own images and tone each image by hand.    I am looking primarily for female models who are looking to add artistic prints to their portfolios (TFP/TFCD - Scanned images).
