"I have seen Denisa work online for many years, including her collaboration with the most respected photographers. That collaboration made me jealous, to say the least, and I often wondered what would it take to work with a model of her caliber. So, when I received a personal message from Denisa that she will be coming to Southern California, Los Angeles area, where she will be staying in West Hills, less than 25 miles away from me, and would like to work with me, I was thrilled, to say the least. Our scheduled shoot was a sunrise one, in the rocky outcrops of the Snat Susana pass. I picked her up in pre-dawn darkness. She was ready on the dot, having followed all my pre-shoot instructions to a "t". We drove to the location and then proceeded to the shooting grounds right on schedule. From my past experiences, I was expecting a bit of a warmup time. But, boy, was I wrong. No warmup, not with Denisa. As soon as I got my camera out of the bag, she was where I wanted her to be and started posing. No, POSING. She knew her angles, she knew her body. Positioned on a tiny flat rock just barely wide enough for her to lie down, with the 20 ft sheer drop in most directions, she was doing hand-stands and jumps... Most of the time I do direct my models. Some require more direction, some require less. Denisa required NONE. It was perfect. Whenever we exhausted a spot/look, all it took was a brief conversation, and she was onto it. The quality of Denisa's poses deserves a separate write-up. Usually, it takes a lot of direction for the model to assume the perfect position. It would often take a minute or several to make micro-adjustments: a strand of hair this way, a wrist bent that way, the chin a bit higher, the head a tad to the right, left leg a notch higher...Again, not with Denisa. Her poses are perfect from the get-go. Pose-click. Next pose-click. By the time it would normally take to position my model for one shot, with Denisa we would already do ten, if not more. Suffice it to say, that after a single hour I had the same amount and variety of material that I would usually have only after 4-5 hours - and, needless to say, all material was top-notch (unless I would make a mistake). All in all, working with Denisa opened a new chapter in my photography." Read less
