Dennis Holt, the recipient of two Television Emmy’s for  Cinematography/photography, acquired his passion for Natural History and nature photography at an early age. His excitement and obsession for the captured image has always been a top priority and is demonstrated as you experience and view his photography. Dennis’s use of light, composition and his devotion to capture that special moment in time makes you feel you are part of the experience.

Some of his accomplishments include: a five time winner of The Sigma Delta Chi Excellence in Journalism award, was named Photographer of the Year twice by the Firefighters Association, has received the Associated Press News Photography Award four times, was awarded the Nature Conservancy’s Golden Leaf twice and was presented the United Press International award for best investigative reporting.

His client list includes The National Audubon Society, National Geographic, CNN, TBS, NBC, BBC, U.S. Department of Interior, Lorne Green’s New Wilderness Productions, Sesame Street (3-2-1 Contact), The Discovery Channel, Time/Life, Women's Wear Daily and etc.

Dennis is also a natural history speaker and has given more than 150 film/lectures to Universities, Colleges, museums etc. throughout the United States, Canada, Bermuda and The West Indies. Some of his presentations have included The American Museum of Natural History in New York City, The Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC and The Peabody Museum in Hartford, Connecticut. Dennis was also featured on National Public Radio’s segment  “All Things Considered for his work in swamp environments.

Dennis also leads Photographic and Art Safaris to Africa, the Amazon River in Peru and the Andes Mountains and Rainforests of Bolivia.
