Welcome to my port

Photography has been a passion of mine for a long time but I have only recently started to become more serious about it. My pictures and images are not straight out of the camera. I enjoy working on a picture just as much as I enjoy taking it.

I try to create the atmosphere and mood which caused me to take the picture in the first place. In a way they are a representation of an altered memory and emotion and just as much part of me as they are of the subject.

I'm a doctor by profession and although what I do for a living is extremely fulfilling, I need a way to vent my artistic urges....Photography is just perfect.

I usually shoot at home or on location depending on the weather. I have a cat so if you're allergic then make sure you let me know. I only shoot on weekends due to lack of time.

I'm always looking for models or new faces to shoot so if you're interested drop me a line.

We all love having friends, but if you decide to add me as a friend drop a note or something. As far as I know friends communicate so although I'm flattered with the friend request I will probably not add you simply cause you added me.

I do all my editing so I do not need the help of a photoshop wizard however great they might be (and some are definitely great) To me playing around with the pics is the best part of what I do.

PS. I am doing veryselect TF work at the moment. I would consider TF if I feel your look would benefit my portfolio, if it suits a project I have in mind, or if we've worked together in the past. I am usually very busy and I have little time to spare unfortunately. Prices are very reasonable and negotiable so don't hesitate to ask since you'd be surprised how affordable they can be. If I decide to work with you TF I just might within reason pay part of the traveling expenses if needed :)

After a shoot you can expect around 5 edited shots depending on how the shoot went.

I’ve been working with Sam since 2010, and am due to venture up to Manchester (where he has recently relocated) on Friday so we can shoot together for the fourth time.

In the last couple of years Sam, and his wife Hannah, have become very dear friends of mine. Sam is one of the friendliest, most easy-going people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. I wish our paths crossed more often than they do.

Anyway, enough of the fawning and on to the shooting talk. One of the reasons I love working with Sam is the different side of me he always seems to capture, he is a master of timing, easily picking up expressions between poses, movement and the perfect out-takes. Every image that I get back from Sam is a surprise, whether its because of an expression I don’t remember pulling, or his fantastic post work.

Had a wonderful shoot with Mr Matta today, what can I say? He's welcoming, kind, generous, a lot of fun and very talented, the day flew by with the enjoyment and I know we shot some amazing photos. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend shooting with him if you want to shoot some real art.
