I started my photography journey about four years ago. I love the art and creativity that photography affords me. I would consider this a serious hobby. My interest is in black and whites, low-key lighting, and silhouettes. I have enjoyed the privilege of meeting and working with some interesting and eclectic individuals.

I have seen my skills improve and am quite happy with my current level of competency. I am continually expanding my portfolio and developing my own style. I will do indoor or outdoor work, but also want to stretch the envelope and try creative ideas which may include unusual locations, props, and different styles or themes. I am easy going and am easy to work with during shoots. I have recently changed my MM site name to J-V-Photography from the previous name of Dark Image Photography.

Photography has opened up a new world to me and I embrace it gladly. I am looking forward to growing as a photographer and am always open to new ideas and working with and meeting new people in the photography world, whether in front or behind the camera. Depending on the type of shoot and model, I will negotiate on compensation or TFP. I have just updated my portfolio and have added new images.
