Technically, if a model wishes to use or publish an image I (we) created, she should have written permission from the copyright holder (me). Especially if the use is beyond her portfolio (my model release handles usage/rights regarding portfolios for both parties).

If we shoot a TFCD - as a content swap - I obviously must get a model release signed and technically she must receive usage permission from me. (and if I were the model, I'd want it in writing)

Anybody out there have a legal letter or document that they use/provide to grant these rights, that allows for granting of some rights while specifically denying others? Or how do you usually handle it?

BTW, I'm talking specifically about TFP/CD or swaps. Commercial shoots/rights with clients, as well as portfolio shoots, are handled.

I use a License of Rights the same way I would with a client. I just modify the terms and remove the payment clause.
