This is very nice.  I hooked up a video camera to my eye cup to do the same thing using a TV monitor.  This would be great when your not in the studio, I'm wondering how its powered and how long it lasts.

I think it takes upto either 4 AA or AAA batteries. It's suprisngly not going to be as high resolution as your monitor as the resolution is I think half of QVGA (its like 168x240 or something). So definitly only use it for compositioning and such, and rely on the Autofocus, dont use it if you need critical focus and you are hoping the zigview allows you to do that.
