Ah what I feared begins with this statement.... It is precisely that attitude that = failure of the democratic vote off system.. Lots of those translators never translate correctly and mess up what ever you want to say. There are TONS of people who feel shooting nudity is just shooting "shit" and it's not wanted or needed. Women have lost their children because they've posed nude and men have lost their wives because they shoot nudes. Yet 99% of the people in this thread do or have shot nudes and feel it's art. It's reminds of that movie "Stardom" when the washed up European fashion model holds an art show, and when the press shows up, they find out it's sculptures made out of her own actual shit because, as she states, her life is shit. It was an expression of how she felt about herself and her life. Who is to say what is art and what isn't? How boring would it be if we could only do one type of photo or one type of painting?! I don't know who the person is, but if he was deleted purely because you were in disagreement about his art, what would you say to someone who said you should be deleted for your "art"? I think we all know, I sure know what I would say! But if what I gather from the posts here is correct, that his portfolio consisted of photos of shit in a urinal (?)... then oh well.. Im not going to lose any sleep over him being banned. I feel that a lot of people on here shoot what they shoot for either A) $$$$ or B) it's a good way to see boobies. I love money. And I love boobies. So don't get me wrong. BUT. My photography is my art. It's what I do. It's how I tell my stories. If this guy was telling his, that's great. Were his images marketable? Probably not. Are my images marketable? Not the ones I like. But I'll continue making them anyway. And I hope this Yuki character won't be discouraged from making his. And I hope all the jackasses on here who want to see some tits will keep making their's, either. I think a lot of their work is shit. You can only look at so many asses before they all look the same. This site seems, a lot of the time, like nothing more than a trading arena for softcore imagery... "Hey, wanna swap mags? Mine are getting stale..." ***Which, I should state, is NOT Tyler's fault. I'm stoked as hell that he put the time and energy into creating a venue for us to show and discuss our processes and the results... thanks Tyler*** But all I'm saying is that so many people on here consider themselves "artists" because they can create eye candy. Art is about communication. It's a visual language. So few people on here seem to get that. An ass in and of itself communicates very little. So many on this site use their talent to create imagery that speaks nothing. It tells no story, it is completely void of content. It's just another hot chick's (and sometimes we're not even that lucky) ass. If Yuki was making imagery that spoke of something, which it sounds like he was trying to do, then he's head and shoulders above most of the shooters on here. People may not have dug the way he told his stories, but it sounds like he had more content than most. I don't know... Like I said, this shit's ridiculous. I'm just ashamed of anyone who felt it okay to shut someone's vision out without a second thought. Because they considered him a "troll". And by the way... that's the lamest thing I've ever heard. "This guy's a troll"... what the fuck is that? Are we living in the land of David the Gnome? Find a reason. Whoever started this shit sounds like a bitch. But that's no reason to shut her down... It sounds like the guy had just set up his account, and was off almost immediately with no chance to defend himself or change his imagery. I don't know how you generally handle things like this, but I would hope that people might get a chance to defend themselves before being lynched. But again, it's your site. And it's a great site... I'm working on a system where people receive a certain number of warnings before they get booted (from mods of course). Some kind of like point system. But for right now, our only defense is just to kick people off. Again, I'm not exactly sure what happened in this situation. I don't know if the guy was trolling or just got booted for the photos. But yah, the whole warning/banning stuff is still in the works.
