I've been growing mine out for a shoot the second week in August, and started wondering about the rest of the modeling community.

Who else?

I know of Wynd...but...does anyone have pictures?  Is armpit hair on females only seen in art nudes, or other genres as well?

It does seem to only be models who do  art nudes which I think is great.  Personally if a model shaves or not makes no difference. Legs could be a problem though.  There is hippiegoddess.com.  Which most would say is a porn site but they do  manage to shoot some artistic photos and they try to stay more of an earthy type photos.

I don't usually shave my armpits. Or my legs, for that matter. I'm not very hairy, though smile I will shave for a shoot if a photographer wants me to, but day-to-day; meh. I hate stubble.

I don't shave my legs or armpits. I haven't worn underware since the 60's.

No tattoos, no piercings, no drama cuttings, no cigarette butt scars, no jewelry, no wrist watch.

I prefer natural. I prefer clean and fresh, with nice quality soap and shampoo. I like Japanese ofuros's, onsens, hot springs, and anything in nature. If I could take my bath in a pristine river or lake or the ocean everyday, I would.

My only exception to wearing something around my neck is my camera strap.

Life is sweet.

I'd love to work with any of these models mentioned in this thread -- but why are they so far from Minnesota...?

Right. I'll quit whining now...

(I can't help it -- I'm a Cancer.)

I did photograph a model with armpit hair, but she shaved most of her pubic hair which I found a bit interesting. Not all girls that don't shave their underarms let the rest of their hair grow out. She's the model in my portfolio in the B&W photo sitting on the counter in her bathroom.

Here's another picture of her (18+):

Wanna know my favorite thing about Click?  The day I met him he walked up to the porch I was sitting on, carrying a cardboard sign that said, "I heart Sita Mae."  (Only "heart" was drawn, not written out.)

Awwwwwww....

Total warm fuzzy attack!

Okay Shandra, I'm done jacking your thread.

Does Candy Poses leave her armpit hair alone, or just her pubes?  Gotta check that.

I think she shaves. But another one of my favorite models nonetheless.

I really only shave when I absolutely know someone will see it...so for photoshoots.  If you catch me the rest of the time, chances are my legs are incredibly hairy (just being honest).

I generally shave my armpits just because it is fast.

At the end of the day, it all really comes down to me being a lazy person.  I hate the amount of time it takes to shave, so I generally just don't do it hahaha.

Yeah, I shave my armpits, usually...but grew them out for a shoot and now like it...might keep it for a while.  I also shave my legs every once in a while...just not my pubic hair.  Trim?  Sure, but it's always there.

I know a few others who shave some things and not others...I never thought I'd hear of someone not shaving their underarms, but shaving everything else, though...that seems a little odd.

Exaaaaaaaaaaaaaaactly.  Me=too lazy to shave about 80% of the time.

I never really let my armpits go for more than a week, my legs?  Meh...a month or two or three...

Sometimes I shave frequently...I just get into really girly moods occasionally, and feel the need to shave and put on a bra.  Rarely, but it does happen.

Wynd looks like bear with all of that hair. I'm not a fan of women with hairpits, but pubic hair I'll take over bald leave it to beaver. Never appealed to me. Different strokes for different folks.

Here, let me get to the point since you are failing to comprehend. It's none of your business. Wynds a nice model. If this was actually insult on her then yes, you'd have a point. Done talking about this. And if it's a issue for you too bad and suck it up.

to Shandra and the others stay as you are its natural and very beautiful...i do not get why these days its considered a fetish..its normal...its shaved, imv that should be a fetish...and if you look back in art history i cannot recall ,though im happy to be corrected a painting from a past era..showing a woman shaved...perhaps this is just a double decade fad and natural will return ..or at least i hope so. smile

In the past they seldom painted in pubic hair -- the pubic region was basically :air brushed" so the naughty bits wouldn't show. If you look at classical realism you'll find this is the case. I don't think this really changed until the beginning of the 20th century, but I could be off a bit.

But I do agree that the shaved look is really the fetish. However, because shaved is the norm unshaved is now the fetish. It's very interesting how these things change over time. I'm quite sure the natural look will be back in style at some point.
