I know in the forum somewhere they had mentioned about creating release forms, Did they ever do that? Im curious to see what they came up with, as I could use some new ones myself.

This was a Hot topic. And there were quite a few people willing to work on release forms to be posted on this site for everyone to use. I wonder to. what happened?

Just remember that release forms are different for each state... laws vary and no matter what is put up here - you as in us really need to have a local laywer look at them and approve the wording..

Or you might get el screwed in court..

Here are copies of forms from photog discussions online. I dont know who-all provided these, but that Mr Doug Lester did list one or more of them. The model "shoot-info" form is my design, originally for a model who asked "what do I ask for?".

hope this helps people!

MUA's need release forms too..there should be a database or links that all of us can use if we need. I'll find the various ones I had and post a link, MUA and model ones..

But yeah, I think for each state the laws would be different so there should be different wording to make sure the model and photographer are clear on the rights each would have.

Check out this book. I bought it and it has helped me with release forms and contracts.

Try business and legal forms for photographers. There is a model release for models and an independent contractor form for mua, stylists, etc.

However, agency models aren't allowed to sign any paperwork including any release forms or testing forms. The only thing they can sign is a voucher. There is more to it than I explained, but in general this applies.
