Nov 15 07 02:45 pm Link Even shooting slides or film, many of us have been retouching for years, it's just that we do it digitally now compared to using inks & brushes. The broad question "What am I doing wrong?" really can't be answered because no one knows what your goal was on the retouch of the image or what it looked like before it was retouched. While we do promote learning and exchange of information on this thread It's primary purpose is not to teach speciffics but rather to give the less experienced the opportunity to learn from the results of the more experienced while also showcasing the professional retoucher's work to promote their businesses. I tried to send you a message through the site, a rather long one in fact that took me a half hour to type. But unfortunately when I hit send, it sent me a message saying I had to be logged in to do that, even though I was logged in at the time! I tried to use the back button, but when I went backwards...the message was gone. So I will try again sometime when the site allows me to. Nov 17 07 03:41 am Link Stacy Leigh wrote: Nov 17 07 10:52 am Link PLEASE NOTE THE REVISED RULES I have received confirmation form my IP attorney that it is not a violation of copyright to retouch any image providing the image does not bear a copyright mark or signature and the retouch does not constitute a derivitive work of art. This being the case I expect that we'll see many more images posted by models & MUA's in the near future. Retouchers: As always use your discreetion with regards to how much of your time & services you are giving away for free with your participation. Others: The majority of the retouchers on this thread are professionals who charge for retouching services. Please bear this in mind and do not take advantage of them or this thread. As stated in the rules, if a monetary exchange has occurred or will occur regarding an image posted for retouching then it MUST BE NOTED AS SUCH and is open for BIDDING. Also as noted in the rules all bidding is to be handled via PM, not on the thread. HAVE FUN & ENJOY!! Nov 17 07 02:18 pm Link christylynn photography wrote: Thank you so much! Nov 18 07 02:33 pm Link christylynn photography wrote: Well toss an image into the pool and then download the layered TIF when I'm done with it. Best learning tool around is to see what the different layers & masks do and then to ask speciffic questions (in PM) to learn the details of how/why. Nov 19 07 09:05 am Link Hellooooooo?
