I see this quite often a black and white image with sertaint things that are color, lips, nails whatever. Can anyone helpp me figure out how it's done? Thanx!

IM not sure how others do it but i do it with layers in photoshop. You create a channel mixer layer to create your b/w look.. then going back in with the paintbrush tool you paint back in the underlaying color.

What I do is desaturate the image to b&w.. then use the history brush to go over the areas you want in color.

I select the area I want to keep the color in with the magic wand tool, then inverse the selection and desaturate. Works pretty well and maintains the texture of the material or object.

Easiest method for me is to make 2 layers, desaturate the top layer, then erase the area to be in color from the top layer, letting the color layer show through.
