So, how would you go about finding fashion designers that would be interested in having their designs photographed?   

I'd love to do a session and feature some really wild clothes..I'm just not sure where to find them - art schools?

any ideas?

craigslist.com or post wanted ads, but you should really try craigslist in the creative section

When I was a student in San Francisco I used to get invited to local fashion shows (usually by make-up and hair people I'd worked with). If I liked the stuff, I approached the designer. Worked for me at the time.
