Decided to take a few screencaps from some inspirational videos. I intended to have more variety than Bjork, but damn it, the pixie has the game on lock. But everyone should check out the book Jazz Age Beauties... photography by Alfred Cheney Johnston, and I love pretty much everything. I loved it so much, a photographer I worked with that also liked it, bought me it as sort of a "wrap" present. I also like gather abstract themes and organic matter for ideas, like flowers, rainbows, landscapes (painted my face like a sunset for a makeup project in college). I like ethnic makeup (ie Beijing Opera), and really anything that challenges norms. I like a lot of Kabuki's work and for another makeup class, we had to recreate his webbed eye"lash" look. I learned they weren't exactly lashes because they have to sit at the crease or you can barely open your eyes. And of course, sculpture and paintings inspire me. If you're in Philly, the Rodin museum is something I fell in love with. Love this thread.                (Look at all the bling! I was clearly going through a crystal-appreciation phase when I started putting that folder together.
