Scary future from a survey
Survey out today of 1000 teenage girls (15-19) shows: half see Abi Titmuss as the best role model, against 33% for Jordan, 9% for JK Rowling and 7% for Anita Roddick. 11% want to achieve something with their lives, 89% would prefer to be a celebrity. 63% wanted to be a glamour model more than anything else; 25% chose lap dancing and 3% chose teaching. Jun 07 05 07:06 pm Link Posted by Andre Knudsen: what is so scary about 25% of teenage girls wanting to lap dance when they hit their 20s?? Jun 07 05 07:29 pm Link Who the hell is Abi Titmuss? Or Jordan? Jun 08 05 01:17 am Link Well I don't know who Abi Titmuss is but Jordan is a British Pin-up model and I am not refering to the 50's stlye pin-ups you see here. Think more like hustler. Jun 08 05 01:31 am Link I think its important to possibly note the demographics that this survey was taken. Also, link to where we can see this survey details, and or what publication it was in? Jun 08 05 01:42 am Link Hrm according to google, and fleshbit and other adult related sites, she's a porn star and nude pinup type of girl for the adult market. If you were a teenage girl taking a stupid survey like that, of COURSE you are going to put down that you want to be a lapdancer! Because it's FUNNY! You can laugh and tell your friends, "I put down lapdancer!" "So did I!" They all laugh and go on to study to be doctors and engineers. Please. Don't be so naive as to take these "surveys" seriously. THINK. Don't be a monkey programmed by the media. Jun 08 05 02:43 am Link Posted by theda: I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't know. Jun 08 05 02:56 am Link Posted by Andre Knudsen: Nah, that's not scary. Teenagers usually go through a lot of fantasy about what they want to be when they grow up and will change their minds frequently. I still remember when I was a teenager. I told myself any occupation didn't matter as long as it held my interest and offered room for lots of growth and didn't put any limits on my need for creativity. ...and paid very well.
