Six entries and then a vote -- come on!! You only voted on what you thought was the best of six -- would your vote be the same at the end of all the entries?? The other aspect that makes we wonder about the validity of the competition is the voted photographs themselves -- one is technically not sepia, and the other -- well, from the photograph, I can't identify what the picture is of. Enough of my rant -- I'm through with these "Best of Day" games. Some vote earlier than others, for the simple fact that some of us are atleast 7 hours ahead of the US (which is the time standard they are basing the votes on). As for not being able to tell what one of the photos is of...well, I can tell what they are all of. It's just a matter of being able to see things I guess. I honestly haven't voted yet, because I haven't decided on one specific shot that I like the best. It's not like this is for money...just kind of a fun bragging rights type game. You know...something to ease stress, and let people network with each other.

Enough of my rant -- I'm through with these "Best of Day" games. I agree 100%. I stopped playing awhile ago, as well. I stop by occasionally to see if the process has changed, but I see it hasn't. It's only 9AM for me and several people have already voted - people who are not on the east coast or up unusually early might as well not even bother with these threads. Maybe change the titles to "Concept shot of the morning" or something. And it's almost always the same people getting votes whether their picture "qualifies" or not. It has turned into a popularity contest. I love the idea of these threads, but the results are just laughable and predictable. Either make this moderated to the point where someone controls the images and starts the voting after all images have been submitted, so it's fair for everyone taking their time to submit something, or eliminate the voting and just have it be a display thread. I realize this isn't a real contest and he winner doesn't get anything, but it's just silly the way it is now.

Enough hijacking this great thread with your critiques of it's way of running; it's inappropriate and ruining the fun for the rest of us. How about you guys start your own competition that follows the rules you'd like? We're all having a great time in here and you don't have to stay and it's not like some official thread or whatever. It's just for fun. You don't have to play with us, though you're invited to should you ever want to.

Personally, it's basically just a way for me to display photos...I don't think I've gotten a vote yet. Maybe my stuff just sucks that bad...lol! Half the time, I don't even get around to voting, because I'm off doing other things. In fact, my butt should be editing basketball team photos right now...ugh...

I got so excited to see this thread and to have an opportunity to post one of my sepias...no point in doing so now. Nothing I can make would stand up to this outstanding picture. The Divine Emily Fine wrote: I'm very picky with my sepias
