It had to have been a typo. I don't even think they have $300 membership packages.

Your right 30 would be high but 300 would be absurd . Why put up with their mass marketing of products any way. They were about models at first now it's just what they can sell and the members still pay to get their internal spam.

$300 gezzzz
OMP is not worth it, but you might want to check your computer settings, like your cookies. Try erasing your cookies and temporary files, that might work.....

Actually the top Platinum+ package for a Photographer profile goes for $269.95. They're site is broken so I can't see what it costs for a Model. So $300 membership is pretty close.

I did the Platinum membership last year and it was $200 for me (photographer). It has paid it self back at least 4 times over but thats it. I told myself it had to pay itself back 10 times over or I wouldn't renew. Well, the year is up...no renewal for me.

WOW---$200 is still a lot for all the spam and filtering they do. I had a low level account there and nearly all showcases and I never got a paying job from the site.
I do get paying jobs from Glamour Models and it's only $40 a year and it's in tune with professionals instead of the wannbe's.
This site is on the right track too --good communication between members and the ability to make contact with anyone here with out paying a dime. Will that last --surely not but the site is simple and poised to be a real nice place to have model / photographer exchange with out the home shopping network that OMP has turned into .

They charge more for the porn guys to troll the site for the newbies so they ( OMP ) want them there. It's like having a flock of wolves that you introduce new sheep to every morning. smile

Aw, you mean you guys didn't all enter the OMP gear contest wearing their boyshorts, hats, and carrying their "professional looking" portfolio books? Geez.

I just have the basic free membership for a model on OMP.  No way am I paying for that.  Plus about 50% of emails are wanting nudes and porn style images.  One email was hilarious.  At first it just said, we'll pay you $300.00-$400.00 to pose nude.  I said I was interested in more details.  Hell, $300.00-$400.00 to "pose" nude I was thinking it'd be a little artsy or playboy type.  The next email said, "Great, well in the shots will be 1 toy, and a spread shot."  HAHAHHA  Thanks, but no thanks.  1 Toy, I was hoping they meant handcuffs, though I'm takin it that wasn't what they meant.  ;-)

All of my photo shoots have been through MM.  Though some of the photogs are on OMP as well, but have strictly contacted me through here.  I'm greatful for MM.  Nice, friendly, effective, and free!  I love this place, I'm glad it's back on track!!!!

I haven't been experiencing any problems at all. As a matter of fact, the only site I've had issues with in the past 2 months has been MM yesterday and last night...

Yes, I noticed OMP was inaccessable for most of yesterday.  The major problem I've had lately with OMP is not getting my emails. And yes the porn casting calls are driving me crazy. I think porn should stay on their own websites and out of the Modeling forums/portfolio sites.  Not everyone cares to do this type of work...since when is playing with toys modeling? Geeezzzzzz. By allowing this stuff, modeling sites are infering that this is acceptable and it lessens their credibility in the real world.

When I first started on the net in 2000 - the forums/port sites stayed on topic, now anybody can post anything even if they dont have tearsheets or real modeling credentials. This is the downside of the Internet. And it has allowed the porn industry to invade everyones space, blur the lines by convincing everyone "its Modeling" and encourage young girls to become porn"stars" as if its the coolest thing. Would I go to a porn site looking for or posting for a Modeling job? No...so I think they should have some respect and stay out of our territory as well.

However, its human nature to be lured by big money.

OMP was much better 4 years ago before they got greedy and went commercial. They had a good thing going, but its turned into a media circus.

Fortunately, I've been on MM for about a week, and have had NO problems. This site is making my life so much easier!

Note to Webmaster - Please dont change and go commercial!

Not sure what your point is. I have a yearly membership there to. Again, I still haven't had any problems logging in (as she's having) to that site either yesterday or today.

It's working for me.

I only pay for OMP now when I need to put out a travel notice and that's only for a month which is like $9.95. I paid for a year and it was no different then being free other then being able to have more pictures up.
