Any photographers or the like have a model cross the line? Maybe one that groped your hiney?

I can only hope!! LOL!
Seriously though, I learned a tough lesson years ago with a model who I worked with. We did the shoot and she came by the house later that same night to "look over" the shots. Long story short, she loved the shots and me getting her breakfast in bed...
After that night I never heard from her again. sad

indeed...groping has occured (Make up artists seem to have a thing for me not the models)  but whether or not it was my "hiney" i couldn't say, because I have no idea what it is.

I am not seeing the problem here... did she hurt your feelings by dropping you after you had sex with her?

C'mon... I mean... you acted professional during the shoot... she wanted to hook up with you afterwards, you had consenting adult fun and a good time...

Keep it as a fond memory... what did you expect when she came back... to get married and have children with her?

Maybe she was in a relationship or marriage, didn't tell you about it and "used" you?

As I said... take it as a nice experience... I do see NOTHING wrong with how it happened... AT ALL!

Greetings

Udo

No, I've never been felt up by a model or anything, but I do have someone e-mailing me who is a little odd.

This model e-mails me and says she really likes my work and wants to shoot.  She sent a picture of herself that was taken at a wedding (typical ugly bridesmaid dress) and her stats.  So we e-mail back and forth about shoot ideas and then she launches into "Right now I'm wearing a denim skirt and a pink thong, does that turn you on?"

This is an 18-year old talking to a 37 year old fat guy.  She's either got a problem that is difficult to pronounce, or it's a guy just trying to mess with me.  Either way, I don't see a shoot in our future.  I'll have to hand her over to someone willing to be completely inappropriate.  Visual Mindscapes, what's your number?

First of all, you're a riot Udo!!  And to think my mother keeps telling me germans have no sense of humour!! I tell her, "Vee haf vays of making you giggle"!!!

If I ever get to NY, I'm treating you to a Hefewiezen!!

As for having been violated by a model, not as often as I'd like!!  :-)  I have had the occassional hug, kiss and my god your wonderful ( yea, just proves art's in the eye of the beholder ). Though I did have a bride one time that I thought was going to suck the tonsils out of me that I no longer have because she just loved the bridal portrait I did for her..

Not exciting, but it's the facts...

I have never ever crossed the line...I don't think.  I do although usually give the photographer a hug after a shoot....I do that to all my friends male and female.  It is just my "social" thing that I do.  There is no meaning behind it sexually....it is just saying thank you...lots of love...I'm your friend..kind of way.  Is that crossing the line???  I have just always been that way to anyone I know or become friends with.

Why is it if I take out a part of a quote, I lose the quote box and it looks like I wrote it??  Is the world against me or am I a dolt??   Careful how you answer that....  LOL!!

I don't think I've ever had a model physically touch me sexually during a shoot. I've definately had some come on to me verbally and let me know that they wanted the physical contact though. I've also had models ask me out afterwards (not so strange, any business relationship sometimes becomes a personal relationship).

However, I've always respected the sanctity of the set (and I expect the other participants to do likewise). Even if I'm shooting someone I happen to be intimate with, in my personal life, when I'm doing a shoot, it's totally professional.

How true, lol - models can get away with things that photographers could only dream of. Is it me, or is it perceived as less "pervy" to the outside world when the model makes advances?

Hey Ched;

I'll look into it... wanted to post yesterday.

I would suggest a location of a bar that is in the photo/fashion district... just because it fits the theme...

Nope, Only less Pervy if the Female does it.
Male Models are still perverted if they hit on female Photographers......

Ok, Maybe not.

I can't say I've ever had a model "come on" to me during a shoot.  I've had one or two do it in private chat on OMP though.

To tell you the truth I probably wouldn't react to it if a model did that during the shoot as I am usually quite oblivious to outside stimuli while my eye is in the eyepiece.

Actually I have had models cross the line several times.
You would think that the bright white tape would be noticable, But no... they simply walk outside the little box I taped off and continue on like nothing was there!

I keep telling them that they can not cross the line, Ever, But they never listen.

Of course, had they listened, I would have a virtual zoo of models (not to compare you to wild animals.... more like civilized domesticate ones.....)
:-)

I am going to rot in hell for this post. I know it!

I've never had a model make sexual advances, probably cause all the girls in the room are hotter than me, well they are...

For me crossing the line is when they show up unprepared, wearing the wrong thing, and acting like I owe them something....

What do I owe you? What!

*shakes hippie hair out*
ohhh.... that's better man. You know you should just chill or like something

(But seriously folkes, if there are any hot young male models looking for a photographer to "play" with, cross a line cross a line!)

I've never had that happen to me either.   It might have to do with the fact they're way hotter, or maybe cause they're usually so much taller that they don't want to bend over to talk to me, or maybe cause I'm older than them, but hell, look at all those older dudes with lolitas on their arms.

that and I hate it when guys leave the toilet seat up and/or "miss."

thankfully I'm shooting mostly women right now.

Well....I've had two people set up shoots with me that I had to cancel because it became clear that they were looking to act out some S&M fantasy with a female photographer.  No, I don't include spanking in my photography...

Ah that does bring up a good point...the male model and female photographer fantasy.  Yes, I've had to deal with that myself, luckily only at the interview stage.

The hysterical (or maybe sad) part is that the whole scenario (in my case at least) demonstrates the difference between reality and fantasy.  FANTASY is that they'd be booking a session with a Julie Roberts type, the photographer encased in latex, and sporting both a spanking paddle AND an interest in them.  REALITY is more that I'm like a crabby Margaret Cho type clothed in hemp fiber, perpetuatual PMS, and not the slightest amount of interest in playing on their side of the fence.

Because of a recent spat of these misunderstandings, I'm pretty much only working with male models now via legitimate referrals.
