Hey everyone...

I'm seeking to find models in the dark, tribal and gothic community to shoot, even the vampire community...  Hard to find that particular talent on here, though who I have... have been outstanding!!  It's just hard to go through the browse category which doesn't give you that option...

Can anyone let me know about some sites where I can find models (whom I can contact without an enormous fee) on the web.  I would like to find male and female models in the LA area.  I know of wickedtalent...tribe.net, but how about some more.  Gothic beauty has maybe a few in LA, mostly an international site it seems...

Many thanks in advance!!  Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

Not a modeling site but it's like Myspace for gothic kids if that helps.

Have you tried http://www.imgoth.com/ ?
It's basically MySpace for Goths.
www.vampirefreaks.com is another good source.
There're groups & communities on DeviantArt that you might find useful as well.

Well.. I am not primarily a "Goth" photographer... but I would say if your work screams it start looking about the bondage-type models on Myspace (you can look up models via your network) and go through lists...

After this... besides VF... have you tried Buzznet... Scene kids mostly, but if you have cool ideas...

They have a great forum on there,  of which I am also a member,  you can post a casting call on there asking for Gothic models.  Good luck.

A and B

A: Try LARP in your keyword search. It won't return models per se but will tell you about Live Action Role Play which can include vampire communities. There may be some models or models to be in that.

B: Try Ren Fests sites to include myspace groups. Some of the players get into more than just being playtrons at such, some for example do Cosplay, and there are models in such activities.

My own "alternative modeling" site, just launched. Still a work in progress smile

http://www.razorfantasygirls.com

Goth, Punk, Industrial, Art Nude, it's all good.

Don't mean to bring up an old topic... But I figured if I'd add to the list.

The advantage of Wicked Talent is the screening process, not everyone gets in.  Every model I've ever worked with from there has been professional and reliable.  Full disclosure:  I'm a Wicked Talent photographer so yes, I'm biased.

Having a profile on Wicked Talent is mainly just for bragging rights.  I don't know anyone who's booked work on there that they wouldn't have booked somewhere else.

VampireFreaks and Buzznet are basically MySpace for kindergoths and scene kids, respectively.  I doubt you'll find many serious models on there.

Nocturnal Models/The Core is only for European models.

The BlueBlood forums are free to sign up.  You don't need a membership for that.

On MM, try the Fetish/Alt Model Network thread:

You can also try the various model/photography forums on FetLife:

I am on wicked talent but never find work there.

That's a general site, tho, not geared to the subcultures the OP was looking for WAY back when this thread was made.

Don't just google Larp. Few larpers model. And you might as well type in Vampire: The Masqerade or Dungeons and Dragons. Same goes for Ren Fest. I truly hate stereotypes. Not everyone who larps or is into Ren Faires are goth.

Your best bet would be some of the actual sites. Blueblood has some hotties on it smile

EDIT: wow. I just realized how old this thread is. lol

I am going to say Wicked Talent as well. They are very very picky about who they allow to sign up (I actually just got accepted after about 8 years of attempting) they have a standard of size and of professionalism you really cant go wrong contacting a model from there big_smile
